Whitney Bard is the one of the most unique designers specializing in brand identity. She helps small business professionals create powerful and persuasive brands with compelling messages. Whitney is an energetic, motivated young woman who lives, breaths and sleeps design. From the time she was able to hold a crayon, she was drawing pictures and going from door to door selling her artwork for just a penny!
Her background stems from her creative family roots, with her father as a music producer and her mother as an actress and writer. In high school, she delved in all of the arts; jewelry making, ceramics, sculpture, painting and life drawing. Not only was her passion invested in the arts, but she also loved to give back to the community. Her senior year, her and a team of artists collaborated on a project she calls “Empty Bowls.” They handmade 100 ceramic bowls and hosted a dinner where all food, beverages, and entertainment was donated. Tickets to the dinner were sold, and in return for their ticket, the guests were able to take home a hand made bowl. She raised $1,000 in which she donated to the Oregon Food Bank.
She then continued her education at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon where she graduated with a double bachelors degree in studio art and communications. It was here that she developed her true love for graphic design through a project that required her to step outside the realm of traditional design. She learned to combine the art of storytelling and her skills as a designer to create a family history piece that was displayed at the Hoffman Gallery in 2009.
Whitney’s clients have nothing but fabulous things to say about her hard work, her design skills and her loving personality. She says the best thing about being a designer is being able to watch a brand come to life before your own eyes, and then to watch it blossom when the clients shows it off to the world.
